PHI enforces all HIPAA rules and regulations
The HIPPA Privacy Rule covers certain health information in any form (computer files, verbal, written, etc.)
Be conscious of your conversations in the home. It is a HIPAA violation and agency policy violation to discuss client care in front of other clients and/or families.
When calling the administrative office, make sure you are conveying the appropriate information to the appropriate department, and not discussing clinical information when not necessary. Think about WHO needs to know and WHAT information they need to know.
